Progression Pathways
Pathways to progress and enhance skills at BG6.
We inspire learners to succeed at BG6 and beyond, which is why we offer additional courses that sit outside the traditional curriculum. These include: Progression module for Y12, EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) available for Y13, RAISED in Yorkshire programme, Access to Leeds, Reach for Excellence and our excellent enrichment programme.
We know that you will need support to navigate the rapidly changing landscape of higher education, apprenticeships and employment opportunities that will follow your time here.
We are also a partner school to all of our local higher education institutions, helping learners build significant relationships as they begin their journey towards university. Throughout Year 12 we arrange visits to universities and UCAS fairs and invite speakers to come and tell us about all the exciting possibilities that university brings.
Our learners go on to study at a range of destinations across the UK with courses such as: Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Graphic Design, Architecture, Accountancy and Finance, Psychology with Counselling, History and Politics, Primary Education, Mathematics, Occupational Therapy, English Language and Literature, Diagnostic Radiography, Social Work, Law with Criminology, Business and Human Resource Management, Optometry, Midwifery, Maths and Economics.
