Holiday Hunger - Enactus

We are so proud our Year 13 Enactus students who have won two fantastic awards: Regional Runners up and Community Partnership. You can view the announcement here

They have been working extremely hard since September 2019 on their project to raise awareness of Holiday Hunger. It is such a worthy topic that deserves a high profile and since the lockdown period has had even more of a spotlight, through Marcus Rashford's campaign to end child food poverty.

Last year our BG6 students spoke to all year groups during assemblies and raised over £600 in various school and community events.

Our core partnerships for the project were with Asda and One Nation, whose head office is based in Batley; a UK-wide relief and development charity which supports local and international relief projects to help improve lives.

Last week our BG6 Year 13 students were busy making family hampers for October half  term. These were delivered to Healey Junior, Infant and Nursery school (which is also part of Batley Multi Academy Trust) last Thursday for distribution to families.
